Beta
Following the massacre of half the pack by Beckhem, Gwen and Mateo agreed to be equal partners in reforming the pack. Content to take the role of Beta, Gwen spent much of her time from that point teaching young wolves that came into the fold, and making sure they could be useful to the Uratha cause. Unfortunately, few stayed to become long-lasting additions.
It is in this period that she met Vincent Bailey, who quickly found his place as pack Omega, as well as Cory Duncan, who served as scout for a considerable time.
Alpha
After a few mistakes by the Sworn's then-Alpha, Mateo Benavidez, Gwen took control of the pack, intending to set it to cleaning up their common territory.
