Appearance
Soraya is a noticeably beautiful woman, although pain has hardened her features away from the 'cute girl' look she used to have. Her piercing blue eyes still burn with fire, but occasionally, they are glossed over with a coat of nostalgia. Her dirty-blond hair falls in ethereal waves around her face, with much less of the vitality one can see it once had. She normally wears casual jeans and a long sleeve shirt, less flashy than most Storm Lords. She walks with an elegant refined gracefulness in all forms but Gauru. Although her clothes are not as assertive, her aura shows her conviction to the careful observer.
Background
Human Days
Born into the upper class of Manhattan, Soraya was raised with pride and stubbornness as her birthright. However, unlike the heartless world of steel glass around her, she had a softer heart than her parents and peers. As she matured among a Social Darwinist culture, her conscience and her will conflicted throughout her childhood. She went to college in NYU. Living alone with her festering feelings of depression and perfectionism, she began to gather spirits of negative emotion. This brought her to the attention of the local pack, which marked her. Her First Change was incited through her attempted suicide, saving her life as well as giving her a new one.
First Pack
Born under the Half-Moon, Soraya was the spiritual diplomat and general peacekeeper of her new pack. She was accepted into Skolis-Ur's fold because of her keen understanding of the heart of her pack and her fierce drive to succeed in it. Often doing unnecessary work, her days as 'the pup' and as Omega were surprisingly her happiest. Her dedication made the betrayal of her pack a doubly painful experience for her to watch. A Bale Hound was among their number, and had systematically picked off the wolves of her pack until they rooted him out for a face-to-face confrontation. Losing the battle, her pack lost their totem, their territory, and their pride. The rest of her pack lost their lives, but she survived, saved by the curious neighboring pack that had ventured into their territory to check out their distorted Gauntlet. Hearing her story, they promised to retake the land. However, their totem spirit refused to let her help. She was advised to go to Sacramento, which was in need of Forsaken to fight the rampant Pure population, to find a new pack.
