Anthony Wilks was always an energetic and curious child, one with a penchant for misbehavior. For his thirteenth birthday his parents took him to the zoo, and he managed to slip from their watch so he could visit all his favorite animals.
Unfortunately, his behavior made him the target for a nature loving fae that simply adored animals. Seeing the same interests in wild beasts in Anthony, The Fae offered to take him to a place to live with the animals he loved. He immediately accepted
Anthony began his new life with his wish granted to a painful level. His human reasoning stripped away, his body turned to a ferocious jungle cat fighting for his life amongst other equally savage and frightened beasts. In order for the child to survive, he was forced to use cunning, find hiding spots, and use his senses to their fullest. His body grew and matured quickly, soon becoming one of the most feared predators in the jungles, and his exploratory nature turned to surveying his home.
During one such search, he found a large gap between some trees that lead into a tangle of thorns and vines. Half-remembered dreams of a weak, fleshy child being dragged screaming through the briars came back and he almost left the thorns behind when another memory returned. One of safety, of not needing to fear another hunter's claws or how to hunt his next meal. Such a place lay beyond these thorns, he knew, and so he ventured into them to seek this world.
The thorns scratched and tore his front legs, so he forced himself to remember how to walk on two. His mind could recall more and more of his human life, and he dragged together what he could. Part of his humanity recovered on the way, and though a teenage boy had been taken it was a man in his early twenties that emerged from the thorns in front of his childhood home. When he knocked for entrance though, it was a boy that looked just like Anthony before being stolen that answered.
The human once known as Anthony couldn't understand. A new child had been left in his place, a quiet and well-behaved boy that had lived his life for the two years he'd been missing from Earth. He wanted to rage, to strike down the false him that was there, but the man he'd once called father appeared with a gun, threatening him to leave. He fled before any more words could be exchanged.
He wandered the streets for quite a while before others found him. Others like him, that had once been human and had their lives taken. They helped him, trained him in how to use his new skills. Like in the jungles before he learned how to use his cunning and strength to get the better of his foes. He began to seek out other methods, poking about the Autumn Courtiers, curious about increasing his new found magic. And eventually, even working up the courage to brave the thorns again and seek places of power there.
Mask
In his human mask, Anthony is a tall and powerful looking man. Though he lives in a rather hard neighborhood, his dark hair seems clean and well kept, and though he keeps his clothing simple it somehow lacks signs of major wear or tear. He carries himself with pride and dignity, like one would expect from a large cat, but somehow gives an air of being unapproachable. When angered,this young man's appearance becomes more frightening, giving the impression that he can and will crush the subject of his rage.
