Winter Coronation 2010

A gathering of Lost to celebrate the changing of the seasons. Autumn's chill giving way to Winter's solitude. And Katrin Byeli is to be crowned ascendant Sovereign of the Freehold.^[1]

Happenings

• HAL welcomes those who have arrived to the coronation and asks them all to enjoy themselves while they wait for Katrin Byeli's arrival. The Winter Sovereign arrives shortly there after and apologizes for her delay.^[2][3]

"Good evening, one and all. Mrs. Rosemary has provided nourishment. The coronation will begin as soon as Queen Byeli arrives. For now, enjoy." - Horace Albert Liebowitz

"Good evening, your Majesty. I apologise for my tardiness." - Katrin Byeli

• Spartan tells those around him, Marcus and Sam about his trip to the Fleshmarket within the Hedge. He tells them about his investigation of the missing children and how he has a lead to track down whatever creature was doing this. Both Sam and Marcus agree to help Spartan in his hunt.^[4]

"Its something Burt Brought up to me, he had been tracking down some child kidnappers and recruited myself and Grunt to assist. So now that I have gained a foot hold I am looking for some of us to go in."

• Nightfall makes his way over to say hello to the Winter Queen but finds something suspicious about her. They chat for a bit and Nightfall becomes more suspicious. When the conversation ends Nightfall goes over to talk to Sam Barkley, informing Sam that he believes that the Winter Queen is not who she seems, thinking that in actuality she is a mirrorskin. Nightfall tells Sam,

"That's not Katrin. I think it's an old Winter Mirrorskin name Dorian, Either she's afraid to come herself or can't. Question: Why?"

• Finally after what seems a very long wait the HAL calls the festival to attend him as they retake the oath. Once the oath is retaken the passing of the Crown begins in and very quickly ends as the crown rejects the imposter of Katrin Byeli.^[5]A mirror can be heard shattering and standing before them, where the winter queen was, is not a large, imposing, Ogre.

"Seize the imposter!" - HAL

• As the commotion dies down things seem to be in hand the Leaders of the Freehold come together to question the Ogre as to what happened to The Winter Queen. Nightfall informs the group that he knows who this imposter is and that

• Rick Pereg reminds all present that the crown cannot go to the Spring Soverign early or it will break the pact of the Freehold,

"The crown cannot be passed to Queen White early, by the terms of the Pledge. If the crown can't be passed on to the ruler of the current season it must wait; either until a new Sovereign can be appointed or the seasons turns again. I am certain of this. If the cycle breaks, the crown remains true until the next Season blossoms, burns, withers or hides." - Rick Pereg

• It is decided that HAL will remain Sovereign until the Katrin Byeli can be found. A group of Lost, consisting of Nightfall, Bert Godwinn, Kaito, Patrick Donovan and Spartan, decide to go looking for Katrin and the Harvey the Ogre is taken into custody.
