The new day dawns with the Neidan’s Sanctum more empty than usual^[1]. West leaves for a morning run and Ankh begins to set up the first real breakfast the cabal has had in a long time. When West returns he is surprised at the way the house has changed, particularly how different it ‘‘smells’’ because of Ankh’s addition.

Ankh tells the two gentleman that one of them has to do the dishes to counteract her cooking. The request is answered by a quick spell, and West ends up with a lecture on the benefit of using ones hands instead of magic to do work.

The cabal gets there meeting time and West prepares for the day with his nondescript suit. Kai chooses a more traditional monk garment, and Ankh goes the way of the stunner instead of low key.

The three then leave for Weller’s Point and their meeting with the Magister of the Adamantine Arrow, Iodor Undrichmann.
