Armor
- What is legal in California?
- Most Modern armor in California requires that the owner have BODY ARMOR CERTIFICATION and the armor in question be registered with the government, if the buyer in Question is a Felon. The few exceptions to this list are armor that you would wear as safety equipment for riding a motorcycle, work place safety, and sports gear. Archaic armor has no registration policy in California. So, Riot Cop armor you need a certificate and contacts, Medieval Knight armor you just need the money.
- Where can I find information on armor?
- What about shields?
- Also in the Armory Sourcebook. Same legality issues as above.
- Can I hide my armor?
- Most armor is fairly obvious, but some can be worn under or pass as clothing. Check an armor's description for details.
- I want armor that isn't listed. What do I do?
- If you want to craft/buy an armor not listed in a sourcebook use the closest armor that is listed for the stats and ask for moderator approval.
Traps
- Any triggered "machine" a character can use/make to defend themselves or harm a foe. Door knob bells, pitfall, bear trap, or Rube Goldberg device are all examples of traps.
- Are traps legal?
- The broad definition above means that the legality of traps will vary. The less lethal, the more legal. Opening a door that triggers a noisemaker is legal but a mashing spike plate would be illegal.

Upgrading Equipment
- Can I pimp my ride?
- Can I have a magic ax?
- Yes. This is covered by the magical item merits in each venue. Check you venue's rulebooks for details.
- Can I upgrade my shield and ax?
- No. Some weapons and armor include alternate versions, with different stats, in their descriptions. This variance is made during item creation, not after. For example, a whip can be built to be normal (1B) or have lacerating hooks (0L). Attempting the change afterwards is likely to fail and destroy the whip.
